When the Miller dies, his youngest son is disappointed to hear that all he got is a cat.

But he soon discovers that this is no ordinary cat but a cat who can talk and who makes up the most amazing stories and lies.

Puss In Boots is now booking for the 2010 Christmas season at the Arts Theatre in London – running from the 18th November 2010 until the 16th January 2011.

Romeo and Juliet gets the Oddsocks treatment

Romeo and Juliet is arguably Shakespeare’s most famous tragedy. Oddsocks have worked their magic and beaten it with a slapstick straight into the 21st century.

You can now expect two restaurant owning families,  a whole lot of Italian sauce, a in a pizza slice, a Fiat and of course a pair of star-crossed lovers and a pinch of passionate rivalry.

Running for six days only at London’s Arts Theatre from 5th to the 10th March.

Legendary Hollywood and Broadway leading lady Shirley Jones to make her UK debut

Shirley Jones makes her UK debut at the Arts Theatre for 12 performances only from 22nd March until 3rd April.

Performances are Monday to Saturday at 7:30pm.

Shirley Jones was virtually unknown when Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein cast her as Laurie in the 1955 movie version of their hit stage musical Oklahoma which bought her world wide fame.

She followed this up with the films of The Music Man and Carousel and won the 1960 Academy Award for Elmer Ganty.

Shirley Jones in concert promises to be a very special event and marks the first time this living legend has ever performed in the UK.

A Man of No Importance

A Man of No Importance transfers to the Arts Theatre

The Arts Theatre is delighted to announce the transfer of A Man of No Importance following its sell-out production at the Union Theatre.

Based on a 1994 independent film starring Albert Finney, A Man Of No Importance is about the journey of self-discovery and acceptance of Alfie Byrne, a Dublin bus conductor who is prone to reciting poetry to the patrons on his bus.

He is also the director of the local community theatre, which operates out of a small parish hall in the neighborhood church.

Alfie’s passengers are also his performers: amateur thespians that come to see the magic the theatre offers through Alfie’s eyes.

A Man of No Importance plays at the Arts Theatre for a limited run from the 10th February until the 27th February.

Tickets are on sale now and we have a special offer on performances until the 20th February with a discount price of £18.50, down from £25 or you can combine tickets with a pre theatre dinner at Kitchen Italia for just £23.50 per person.

Nunsense A-Men at the Arts Theatre

Nunsense A-Men is a hilarious spoof about the misadventures of five nuns trying to manage a fundraiser – with all of the characters being portrayed by male musical comedy performers!

When Sister Julia’s vichyssoise kills off some of the sisterhood with botulism the remaining nuns stage a talent show to raise the funds to bury their dearly departed.

Following the National Youth Theatre’s successful 2008 performances of  The Merchant of Venice in Beijing, the best of Britains young talent now rise to the challenge of producing one of Shakespeare’s rarely seen final plays.

Rooted in the enchanted world of fairytale, Cymbeline is a steadily darkening tale that descends into a savage battle between the generations. Imogen is a young princess who marries against her father Cymbeline’s wishes. Her husband is then banished to Rome. Shakespeare’s late romance takes many comic and tragic twists and turns before the final scene of remarkable reconciliation.

Booking from the 8th October to the 24th October tickets are now on sale at £25.
